چکیده

The water infiltration rules of five different homogeneously or heterogeneously-constructed soil samples were determined to select the best construction module for refuse dump reclamation in opencast mines Shanxi-Shaanxi-Inner Mongolia energy circle. Five treatments, including three homogeneous consisting sandy soil, Montmorillonite-enriched sandstone, and sand-Montmorillonite-enriched sandstone mixture, together with two heterogeneous composed + − mixture (7:3) soil. Three replicates each treatment prepared indoor pillars measure process by auto-recording geometry, investigate features various configurations testing their rate, cumulative capacity, wetting front migration, profile content, evaluate newly constructed natural conditions research area. experiment demonstrated that addition into significantly slowed down infiltration, especially soils. Traditional models perfectly simulated soils which capacity could be segmentally fitted Kostiakov model linear model, a power function. Compared samples, reduce direct surface runoff deep percolation, is an idealized structure reconstruction coal mine dump.

Calibration and evaluation of water infiltration models in different soil textures

Accurate estimation of water infiltration into the soil is important for the design of irrigation systems. Therefore, calibration of different models is necessary to estimate the permeability in different regions. The aim of the present study was to calibrate and evaluate the models of Kastiakov, Kastiakov modified, Philip, SCS, Novell, and Horton in different soil textures. To evaluate the acc...

Effects of soil and topographic factors on vegetation restoration in opencast coal mine dumps located in a loess area.

Vegetation plays an important role in improving and restoring fragile ecological environments. In the Antaibao opencast coal mine, located in a loess area, the eco-environment has been substantially disturbed by mining activities, and the relationship between the vegetation and environmental factors is not very clear. Therefore, it is crucial to understand the effects of soil and topographic fa...

Soil water infiltration observation with microwave radiometers

Experiments were conducted using truck-based microwave radiometers operating at 1.41(L-band) and 2.65-GHz (S-band) horizontal polarization to observe small plots during and following sprinkler irrigation. These experiments were conducted on a sandy loam soil in 1994 and a silt loam in 1995. Sandy loam soils typically have higher infiltration capabilities than clays, and in our studies, we were ...

comparing the goodness of different statistical criteria for evaluating the soil water infiltration models

introduction: the infiltration process is one of the most important components of the hydrologic cycle. quantifying the infiltration water into soil is of great importance in watershed management. prediction of flooding, erosion and pollutant transport all depends on the rate of runoff which is directly affected by the rate of infiltration. quantification of infiltration water into soil is also...

Biochar for soil remediation and land reclamation

Land reclamation generally relates to the improvement of soils degraded by human activities, for example construction and certain forms of agriculture. Soil remediation refers to the process of removing, neutralizing or reducing the toxicity of certain compounds, often left by human activities such as mining and industry. Each degraded and/or contaminated site is potentially unique in its chara...
